Hezbollah’s new struggle on the Lebanese border

The Northern Command already announced a year ago about a new activity of the terrorist organization at the border and called it: “Interior design”. Despite this, the IDF had no intelligence warning about the intention to establish an outpost in Israeli territory, and according to the assessment this was a mistake.

The Northern Command announced about a year ago a new struggle led by the Hezbollah organization, which it called “interior design” – this is what Walla learned today (Wednesday). As part of it, the military arm of the organization began to increase activity in the Israeli border area in two stages – transferring forces to the border area and establishing observation posts near it. After the establishment of Hezbollah’s outpost in Israel , new revelations about the organization’s activities at the border are being revealed.

In the first phase, the organization is working to transfer fighters of the Radwan force, an elite unit of the organization, from deep in southern Lebanon to new bases, outposts and positions in the border area in order for them to form a fighting force capable of penetrating Israeli territory in several locations at the same time.

At the same time, in the second phase, the organization sets up observation posts and creates a presence along the border tens of meters away from the Israeli border line, very close to the blue line (an imaginary border line that has been approved by the UN). According to sources in the security establishment, every two weeks Hezbollah sets up posts Temporarily in the guise of an association for the protection of the environment, which includes tents or makeshift buildings on the border. After that, a process of establishment in the field begins through the placement of personnel and the establishment of infrastructure.

From information presented at the Ministry of Defense, it appears that despite the Israeli frustration, the activity at the newly established position does not pose a threat to the Israeli outposts or settlements that are very far from the location, and that in any case, the IDF regularly monitors the activity at the position that is manned by the organization’s armed men. Hezbollah for the time being refuses evacuate the tents, apparently because of the publicity in the Israeli media and the insistence of the IDF to immediately evacuate them back to Lebanese territory.
